Join us on the 3rd Sunday of every month for a female-only swimming session at Kempston Pool & Fitness. These sessions offer a safe, welcoming, and fully private environment for females of all ages and abilities to get active, enjoy the water, and build confidence. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned swimmer, these sessions are for you!

We know how hard it can be to find culturally sensitive and female-only fitness spaces, so we're here to change that, together.

📍 Location: Better, Kempston Pool and Fitness, Hillgrounds Rd, Kempston, Bedford MK42 8SZ

Price: £3.50 per attendee (pay as you swim)

Age Group:

Females of all ages are welcome. Girls under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and remain supervised at all times during the session.

Why Join Our Swimming Sessions?
Swimming is an accessible and enjoyable way to stay active at any stage of life. It supports overall fitness while being gentle on the body, making it suitable for a wide range of abilities. Our female-only sessions provide a comfortable, private environment where women and families can move, relax, and build confidence in the water.

Alongside the physical benefits, swimming can also help with relaxation and wellbeing, offering a chance to switch off, feel refreshed, and enjoy time together in a supportive setting.

Session Format
All abilities welcome. The session will include a 25m lane swimming for those who wish to swim lengths, as well as a family fun swimming area for relaxed and recreational swimming.

Session Duration & Changing
The one-hour session includes time for changing before and after swimming. We recommend arriving in your swimwear where possible and allowing time to exit the pool with approximately 10 minutes spare, so all swimmers are changed and ready to leave by 3:00pm.

Privacy & Safety
These sessions are delivered with full privacy, including female-only lifeguards, a female-only poolside, and female-only changing areas. The pool will not be overlooked during the session.

In the event that a female lifeguard is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the session will be cancelled.

Emergency Situations
In rare emergency situations where there is a serious risk to health or safety, a male emergency responder may need to attend to provide essential assistance. You will be notified immediately should this occur.

Booking & Attendance:

• All sessions must be booked in advance, no walk-ins.

• All questions on the registration form must be completed with accurate and adequate information. Incomplete submissions may be cancelled.

• Emergency contact / next of kin details are required.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once paid, the session cannot be rolled over to another date if you are unable to attend.

However, the organiser reserves the right to cancel your booking. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.
