Bamford Edge - Men Only Hike

Join us for an unforgettable trek to the stunning Bamford Edge, one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Peak District. This is more than a hike, it’s a chance to strengthen brotherhood, enjoy the outdoors, and raise funds towards the purchase of Goldington Islamic Centre.

Distance: 13km (moderate hike with some steep climbs)

Meeting Point: Elstow Road, Bedford, MK42 9NU

Dates: Saturday, 01 November 2025 (LIMITED SPACES)

Time: Early Morning - Late Evening, exact times TBC (including travel time)

Registration Fee: £20 (includes transport, mountain guide, and breakfast)

Registration Closes: 24 October 2025

Fundraising Target: £150 per participant

Terrain: Mostly well-marked paths with a steady incline on the way up.

• Steepness: A few short steeper sections, but not extreme.

• Suitability: Good for beginners with a basic level of fitness, while still enjoyable for experienced hikers because of the views.

Essentials:

- Waterproof jacket

- Hiking boots (if they are new please wear into them)

- Warm layers (like a fleece) it can get cold and windy

- Water

- Lunch/snacks (Sandwiches, nuts, energy bar etc)

- Any personal medication

- Wooly hat

- Hiking trousers & socks

- Hydro gels/granola bars

- Fruit

- Compeed plasters
